Benchmark of quality in Kimolos
One of the only places a visitor in Kimolos can spend all day, Postali in Psathi is one of Kimolos’ finest restaurants.
The site has been fully renovated and reopened from July 2015. An indifferent café at the edge of the pier was transformed into a beautiful, contemporary venue that is suited for all hours of the day.
The access to the restaurant is really easy, since Postali is located to the right of the marina, as you get off the ferryboat that makes the Milos-Kimolos route. Approaching closer, you will see its wonderful space while one of the first things that will impress you is the view of the crystal blue waters of the Aegean Sea.
Stayed in Psathi last week of June , good selection on the menu , the house wine was good too,the manager &staff were very attentive, the restaurant was quiet as is early season, our meals were very generous , served promptly & hot , we liked it, so we went a second time ,it is the best place to eat in Kimolos.
From 6 o’clock in the morning, hot cheese pie and “bougatsa” are offered, as well as a really delicious orange pie, while for the salty lovers there is a variety of handmade sandwiches and pizzas. A full breakfast is served from 8 o’clock, with fresh local eggs and vegetables, as well as croissants and a variety of beverages such as various kinds of juices and excellent coffee, which is served throughout the day while it’s also delivered in a package.
Best place for breakfast in the island. Right across the marina! We loved the fruit salad with honey and Sandwiches!
As the time passes, coffee becomes beer, while at the same time the moment approaches when the visitor can taste the delicious cuisine of the restaurant from about 1 o’clock. The menu includes juicy hamburger, dressed sandwich clubs, fresh seafood but no fish. Specialty of Postali is the feta with sesame and honey and the local sausages. At the end of the meal, delicious desserts, such as the orange pie mentioned above, are also served. The kitchen remains open until 12 o’clock in the evening.
We visited this restaurant in the morning and we thought it was only a coffee roaster! It turned out to be the best place to eat Pasta and try a big variety of Greek beers
As the sun goes down and the night slowly comes, Postali becomes even more atmospheric, something that the elegant lights placed on the rocks around the shop are clearly contributing to, giving a sense of relaxation to the elegant wooden tables of the restaurant. Ideal then for enjoying some of the elaborate cocktails, including, save for the usual mojito, libra tuba, long island etc, and some of the owner’s own inspired drinks, which will surely impress you with the originality and their taste.
