The cafe of Bohoris, as the locals call it, is a coffee shop, which should be visited by every tourist of the island.
Kali Kardia is the number one destination for food in Kimolos , since 2013, according to Trip Advisor .
In fact, the company has existed since 1920 and has maintained the traditional, picturesque identity of the cafe, which is supported primarily by the wooden sign and plates with the food, also the wooden chairs and the marble tables, but also by the local grandparents, who gather at the cafe every morning to comment on the news and play properly. Of course, the modern element also exists in the store, but focused on the retro style, which in turn is represented by the jukebox and the black and white tiles on the floor.
Understandably, the Good Heart at Kimolos is one of those places that is suitable for the whole day. From early in the morning, you can drink your coffee, which is really excellent, with the locals mentioned above or take it in a package and walk to the medieval settlement of Kastro or in the village in general, since the store is located on its main road. Coffee of course, served at any time of the day.

From 6 in the morning a hearty breakfast is served, which includes local eggs and vegetables, cooked with taste. As the day grows, the first tourists start arriving at the cafe as the morning guests leave. Somewhere here, at noon, coffee can easily give way to one of the beers or one of the many varieties of tsipouro available in the store. An essential accompaniment to the traditional and at the same time exquisite ouzo appetizers, which include very fresh seafood and delicious pies.
"Bohoris" is what the locals call the restaurant and cafe in the heart of the village, "Kali Kardia" is his name and has always served the best, almost 3 generations now! Excellent food! From one o'clock in the afternoon and with the appetite open, the time finally comes when one can taste the main dishes of the Good Heart. Cooked but also of the hour, all made with both art and simplicity. The secret of course lies in the ingredients, which in addition to being fresh are also all local, from the few in quantity but fine in quality products produced by the island. Undoubtedly a specialty is the goat in the hull or lemonade, but equally delicious are the imam and the soutzoukaki, from cooked, the various pies with local cheeses, Xino and Manoura, with which you can also complete the amazing rustic of the store, instead of feta, so to change a little of your usual gastronomic habits and to indulge in the corresponding ones of Kimolos. All this, in addition to beers and tsipouro, you can accompany them with the fine wines of the store.
To the above to add the most gentle and above all honest service, which will inform you even about what dishes are yesterday and which day.

In the afternoon, after eating as a dessert or as an accompaniment to coffee, you can also enjoy the famous sweets of the shop, which include chocolate pies, orange pies and kataifi. At the same time and while the sun begins to set, the traffic is transferred to the colorful tables that are located outside the store and which give the familiar feeling that you are in the yard of a local house.
Finally, I would like to mention that Kali Kardia delivers the food it offers and also sells cigarettes and smokers in general.
